In 2021, approximately 48 percent of chronic pain sufferers living in Italy reported they found it difficult to access medication during the pandemic, the highest share among the surveyed European countries. Furthermore, over 33 percent of sufferers in the UK reported difficulty in obtaining medicines during the pandemic.
