Interest in moving to rural areas among Tokyo residents 2019-2022
In a survey conducted in June 2022 among residents of the Tokyo Metropolitan Area, more than one-third were at least somewhat interested in moving to rural areas. While the majority of respondents expressed no interest in relocating to rural districts, the level of interest in moving away has generally increased compared to December 2019.
