The market potential of medical aesthetics is huge in China as more consumers have become more accepting of beauty treatments and surgeries. The penetration rate of medical aesthetics in China was significantly low at 3.6 percent in 2019. In comparison, that figure stood at 20.5 percent for South Korea, 16.8 percent for the United States, and 11 percent for Japan.
