Regions with the highest low-income population share in Russia 2020

The Tyva Republic was the region in Russia with the highest share of population with a monthly income below 10,000 Russian rubles in 2020, at approximately 28.6 percent. The Republic of Ingushetia followed, as nearly 28 percent of its residents earned less than 10 thousand Russian rubles per month.

Across the whole Russia, approximately nine percent of the population had an average per capita money income below 10 thousand Russian rubles in 2020, while the minimum wage in the country was nearly 12.8 thousand Russian rubles as of January 1, 2021.
