According to a survey on marital life conducted in 2020, the majority of female respondents, almost 80 percent, expected to be happy to start living with someone they love after marriage. Only about 19.3 percent of women assumed they would be able to focus more on work.
Leading expectations for marital life among women in Japan as of June 2020
Original question: "How do you expect life to change after getting married?".
The survey was conducted among 1,500 survey participants. However, for this question only the responses of 756 female survey participants were taken into account.
