Europe: users of online streaming services, by gender

The European questionnaire on Information and Communication Technologies Data reveals that there exists a disparity between the internet usage of people of different gender. This disparity although present in most countries, differs widely in its severity.
By 2020, an average of 68 percent of men and 63 percent across the 27 countries of the European Union (EU-27) used online TV or video streaming. The Netherlands, Sweden, and Spain were among the countries with the highest shares of streaming users of both men and women. The share in Sweden was 20 and 21 percent higher than the European (EU-27) average respectively. Italy, Czechia, and Belgium were all below the European average.
