Weekly development FTSE MIB 2020-2025
The FTSE MIB index, comprised of the 40 most significant stocks listed on the Borsa Italiana (Milan Stock Exchange), lost over one-third of its value between February 16 and March 8, 2020, owing to the economic impact of the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. It has since recovered, surpassing its pre-corona level in May 2021. As of March 9, 2025, it stood at 37,548.
The FTSE index is considered the main benchmark index for Italy, capturing around 80 percent of the domestic market capitalization in Italy.
