In 2021, Taipower had a total of 34.6 gigawatts of installed electricity capacity, amongst which 13 gigawatts came from liquefied natural gas (LNG). Taiwan Power Company (Taipower) is a state-owned industry leader in electricity production, providing the vast majority of electricity for the island.
