Hotel occupancy rate in North Africa 2020-2023
In October 2023, the average hotel occupancy rate in North Africa stood at 62 percent, slightly decreasing compared to the previous month. Hotel occupancy in the region fell dramatically due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In May and June 2020, only 10 percent of the rooms in the hotels and accommodation facilities in North Africa were occupied.
