In 2022, 530 million new banknotes of different denominations were produced by Bank Al-Maghrib in Morocco. In the previous year, 500 million banknotes were manufactured by the central bank. Banknotes in the value of 200 Moroccan dirhams were the largest bills in circulation in the country as of 2022.
