Gender gap index in Egypt 2016-2022
In 2022, Egypt had an overall gender gap index score of 0.64, placing it 129th out of 129 countries globally. During the period under review, gender disparity diminished slightly, with more room for improvement. The index measures the discrepancy between genders in four different areas, namely economic participation and opportunity, educational attainment, health and survival, and political empowerment.
