Team USA's expected medal placement at the Tokyo Summer Olympics in 2021
During a July 2021 survey in the United States, a quarter of respondents stated they thought Team USA would place top in the medal table at the Tokyo Olympics. Meanwhile, just one percent of respondents believed that the USA Olympic team would finish outside the top 20.
