Over a third of consumers in the United States who received ransomware in 2021 stated that they had to upgrade security solutions after the attack. Meanwhile, 30 percent suffered temporary data loss while 28 percent lost the ability to use their devices for personal use. Nearly a fourth of all attacks also resulted in financial loss.
