Number of school students enrolled in Egypt 2021/2022, by institution
As of 2021/2022, the majority of the students in Egypt received their education through public education, with about 22.9 million students being enrolled. Technical education followed, with over 2.19 million students, while Al-Azhar institution had approximately 2.2 million students. Moreover, as of the same period, most students in Egypt were in primary level education.
