Private education participation rate South Korea 2023, by earning situation
In 2023, students from dual income households had the highest participation rate in private education, amounting to about 80.6 percent. Students from single-income households, where the father was working, were not far behind, at over 78.8 percent, while there was a bigger gap in households where the mother was the sole earner. The participation rate for students from economically inactive households was less than half of their population, lying at about 44.3 percent.
