Men's and women's sports interest levels worldwide in 2021, by sport

Among sports fans worldwide, interest levels varied between women's and men's sports. In a 2021 survey, gymnastics was the sport with the highest percentage of fans interested in only women's competitions, at 31 percent. Soccer was the sport with the highest level of interest in only men's events, at 57 percent of respondents. Meanwhile, 67 percent of swimming fans reported that they were interested in both men's and women's sport.
