The European questionnaire on Information and Communication Technologies Data reveals that there exists a disparity between the internet usage of people of different gender. This disparity although present in most countries, differs widely in its severity.
By 2019, 15 percent of male internet users in the European Union (EU-27) used the internet to search or apply for jobs. Among women this share was slightly higher with 16 percent. Compared with 2010, the share of men using the internet for this purpose increased by one percent, the share of women using the internet to search or apply for jobs increased by two percent.
