As of the third quarter of 2021, the YouTube mobile app was counting 361.23 million daily active users (DAU) worldwide on iOS devices. By comparison, YouTube users active on the platform daily via Android mobile app were approximately seven million. YouTube app DAU on iOS experienced a sudden increase between the first and the second quarter of 2020, jumping from 157 million to a whopping 230 million active users worldwide. Daily usage of the Android mobile app peaked in the fourth quarter of 2019, and has been decreasing ever since.
