In July 2021, Bloomberg announced it would release in the following month an online news platform focused on Latin America and the Caribbean called Bloomberg Línea. The new enterprise results from a joint venture with Panama-based Falic Media, Inc. At that point in time, Bloomberg Línea had a total of 70 employees, out of which 40 worked at its Brazilian newsroom in São Paulo. The platform features content both in Portuguese and in Spanish.
Shortly after its debut in Brazil, in March 2020, CNN stood among the most trusted digital news media in that South American country later that year.
