During a survey carried out in the United States in 2021, 16 percent of responding local advertising agencies and five percent of responding local advertisers stated that they believed local advertisers were too reliant on digital advertising. Digital (online and mobile) was estimated to account for 34 percent of local ad revenue in the U.S. in 2021.
