Between January and March 2021, approximately 1.5 million commercial passengers were counted by the Moroccan Airports Authority. Mohammed V airport, in Casablanca, registered the highest air traffic, around 714.9 thousand passengers. This was followed by Tanger airport with around 136.3 thousand passengers. On the other hand, the Benslimane airport recorded only 87 passengers under commercial air traffic. Overall, Morocco had more than 22 million international commercial air passengers in 2019.
