According to a survey conducted in April 2021, slightly more than half of the workers in Italy undertook some type of formal job training over the last 24 months. When taking into account only permanent employees working in Public Administration, however, this figure jumped to almost 59 percent. On the other hand, only about 45 percent of permanent employees working in the private sector took part in job trainings over the previous 12 months.
