According to a survey among smart speaker owners from China's lower-tier areas in 2021, around 42 percent of respondents stated that they purchased smart speakers because they wanted to try out new products. Some 18 percent of respondents indicated that they bought smart speakers due to the price being more affordable compared to traditional speakers.
