In the legal marijuana market in the United States, highly-potent cannabis (containing 21-28 percent THC) had the highest market share, at 44.7 percent, in 2020. In contrast, cannabis with low potency (containing 7-14 percent THC) only had around a four percent share of the legal cannabis market.
