Private equity deal value in the U.S. 2006-2023
The value of private equity deals in the United States increased more than twofold between 2020 and 2021, exceeding one trillion dollar. During 2022 and 2023, private equity deals value decreased reaching 458 billion U.S. dollars. Global PE dry powder also reached record high levels in recent years, which means that there is a large volume on unallocated capital in the market.
