A November 2020 survey of mobile gamers in several gaming markets found that respondents who had played free to download mobile games with ads and without in-app purchases had played an average of 6.3 such titles in the past 12 months. In contrast, gamers who played downloaded games via gaming subscription had played an average eight such titles during the observed period.
