As surveyed in 2022, around 67 percent of Vietnamese respondents said they searched for reviews and comments on social media and e-commerce platforms before making an online purchase, while 62 percent of them consulted friends or relatives. In that year, clothing, footwear and cosmetics were the most popular online shopping category among shoppers in the country.
