Locomotives were the largest rolling stock segment in Latin America and Africa, based on units delivered in the regions in 2019. Demand for locomotives amounted for around 30 percent of the market, followed closely by demand for multiple unit trains, which made up a quarter of the deliveries. Light rail vehicles were not as popular in the regions, at three percent.
