Reasons for not using needed assistive products in India 2019, by level of disability
A 2019 survey conducted in India revealed that the major reasons severely disabled respondents did not use assistive products were the discomfort when using the products and the complicated usage, according to 21 and 17 respondents respectively. Meanwhile, users with moderate disability did not use assistive products mostly because they could not afford them or because they had no knowledge of the products.
