Trends in work aspects during COVID-19 pandemic in Italy 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic that first hit Italy in late February 2020 had a massive impact on life in the country. The measures adopted by the Italian government to control the contagion pushed many businesses to stop or radically readjust their activities. A survey conducted in April 2021 investigated trends in certain aspects of work among Italian employees over the previous year. Work-related stress and fatigue increased for more than half of the respondents, while personal work satisfaction and quality of the work environment decreased for around 30 percent of them. On the other hand, working from home and using new tools improved technical and digital skills for almost 42 percent of the respondents.
