Landlords' confidence in different business attributes in the UK 2023-2024

Sentiment about the letting market among UK landlords improved slightly in the first quarter of 2024. Landlord business expectations were measured using four key indicators that included capital gains, the letting business, rental yield, and the UK economy. According to the survey, 38 percent of surveyed landlords were optimistic about the development of the private rental sector in the next three months. Conversely, only six percent believed that the UK economy would improve in that period.
