Due to the restrictions introduced because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, many Hungarians turned their attention towards online retail instead of the traditional distribution channels. Nearly 19 percent of respondents started buying food products from the internet after the introduction of the restrictive measures. Moreover, every fourth Hungarian ordered shoes or clothing items online for the first time.
