In 2024, among the workers who had a copayment for a primary care physician (PCP) visit, most employees (43 percent) had a copayment somewhere between 20 and 30 U.S. dollars (the overall average is 26 U.S. dollars). This is the amount out-of-pocket workers had to pay for each visit to a primary care doctor even if their deductible for the year had been reached.
