Nearly 10 percent of Russians would refuse using their primary bank card if the service fee would increase, according to a survey conducted in 2021. About one fifth of respondents were ready to change their primary card if the service fee was between 101 and 150 Russian rubles.

The survey was conducted by tablet-assisted personal interview (TAPI).
The original survey question was phrased as follows: "Давайте представим, что тариф на обслуживание Вашей основной карты вырос / обслуживание карты стало платным. При каком размере обслуживания в месяц Вы откажетесь от использования этой карты?"
