Distribution of U.S. workers' annual deductible for single coverage, 2007-2024
In 2024, among the 89 percent of workers who had a general annual deductible, most employees (55 percent with single coverage had a general annual deductible somewhere between 500 and 1,999 U.S. dollars. This is the amount per year out-of-pocket they had to pay before their employer-sponsored insurance plan covered their health cost. Of note is that 17 percent of employees had a deductible of 3,000 U.S. dollars or more. This statistic illustrates the distribution of general annual deductible for single coverage among insurance covered workers in the United States from 2007 to 2024.
