Local tea sales in Kenya decreased to 2.97 million kilograms in March 2022, down from 3.87 million kilograms in December 2021. In the year-on-year comparison, domestic tea consumption increased from 2.57 million kilograms in March 2021. Kenya is one of the largest tea producers worldwide. However, most of the country's production is traded internationally.
