In the 2020/2021 academic year, around one million students were enrolled in middle (or lower secondary) and secondary (or upper secondary) schools in Tunisia. The vast majority, approximately 980,000, attended public educational institutions. On the other hand, private schools attracted around 82,000 students in the same year.
