While citizens have an important role to play in addressing climate change, individual actions, such as avoiding air travel, or buying products without plastic packaging, can sometimes seem like a small step. Indeed, individual responsibility, although indispensable, may not be sufficient on its own when it comes to dealing with these challenges: large companies and governments also have a significant part to play. Regarding the latter, it seems that while a good share of Canadians trust their federal and provincial/territorial governments equally when it comes to fighting climate change, the former is perceived as more trustworthy by many Canadians, especially among 18-24 year olds.
