The European questionnaire on Information and Communication Technologies Data reveals that there exists a disparity between the internet usage of people according to gender. This disparity although present in most countries, differs widely in its severity.
By 2020, 26 percent of male and 27 percent of female internet users in the European Union (EU-27) used the internet to take part in any form of online learning activities. Men and women in Greece were least likely to do so, with only 16 and 15 percent. Also below the EU-27 average were Poland and Italy. Denmark, Spain, and the Netherland on the other hand were among the countries with the highest share of people using online learning.

The aim of the European ICT surveys is the timely provision of statistics on individuals and households on the use of Information and Communication Technologies at European level. Data coverage corresponds to Dataset [ISOC_BDE15CUA] code [I_IUOANY] of the (Information and Communication Technologies).
