Impact from COVID-19 on y-o-y net retail sales change in India Q1-Q3 FY 2021

Net retail sales in India decreased by four percent in third quarter of financial year 2021 compared to the same quarter during the previous year. The Retail sector was massively impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, due to limited mobility and closure of physical shops during the nationwide lockdown between March and June 2021. A year-on-year decline by nearly 60 percent reflected these restrictions in the first quarter of financial year 2021.
