U.S. streaming and video apps active user reach 2021, by age group
According to a study of iOS users aged 18 and above, YouTube was the leading video streaming app based on active users share in the examined period. Short-video social app TikTok followed, with an active user reach of 46 percent among all participants. Netflix ranked third, with 32 percent of responding Gen Z audiences being active users of the streaming platform. Amazon's streaming service Prime Video ranked last, with a slightly higher reach among users aged 26 years or older.
