California employment in plumbing and HVAC was nearly three times higher than that in the state of Pennsylvania. Unsurprisingly, the more populous the state, the more employees it had in this specific sector in 2020. Most of the population working in this industry were employed by plumbing and HVAC contractors. This results are in line with the number of establishments of plumbing and HVAC per state.
