In August 2022, photo and social media app BeReal counted approximately 2.15 million unique visitors among social media users in the United States, up by 80 percent compared to the previous month. BeReal is a social media app developed in France and launched in 2020. In 2022, the app started to acquire global recognition, with usage growing especially among young users in the United States.
