Almost half of the population of the Indian state of Chandigarh downloaded Aarogya Setu, the COVID-19 contact tracing app as of March 2021. In terms of numbers, however, Uttar Pradesh made led the state rankings during the same time period. The Aarogya Setu app was developed by National Informatics Central with privacy as a key principle.
