Value of AePs transactions in India FY 2019-2025

In financial year 2020, AePs had over one trillion Indian rupees worth of transactions across India. The value was estimated to rise up to over ten trillion Indian rupees in financial year 2025 in the country. Aadhaar enabled Payment System (AePS) was launched in 2016 to facilitate banking services in rural and unbanked areas using the electronic identification system Aadhaar.
