In order to build hype for their newest releases, video game developer showcases are one of the most popular parts of the annual E3 gaming convention. The E3 2021 Nintendo Direct stream was the most viewed showcase during E3 2021, reaching a peak of 3.1 million concurrent viewers on Twitch and YouTube Gaming. The company announced its highly anticipated Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild sequel during the event.
