As of January 2021, consumers in the United States were surveyed on their preferred ordering method for takeout and delivery from quick service restaurants. The majority of respondents, 36 percent, stated that ordering via phone call was their most preferred method when it came to ordering takeout and delivery. Meanwhile, six percent of respondents stated that a third-party app (e.g. DoorDash) was their most preferred method.
