In 2020, NCM111 batteries were the most profitable type of electric vehicle battery to recycle. Battery recyclers could earn some 42 U.S. dollars per kilowatt hour when recycling an NCM111 battery. LFP batteries, on the other hand, had the lowest salvage value of some 15 U.S. dollars per kilowatt hour.
