When asked what kinds of retailers they might purchase from in the next six months, approximately 56 percent of U.S. consumers aged 18 to 34 said they planned to visit online marketplaces, such as Amazon or Etsy. Older shoppers in the United States were less likely to buy online in the foreseeable future, but were more likely to visit department stores, as well as pharmacies and/or convenience stores.
