In 2019, the import of knitted or crocheted apparel into Mauritius amounted to an approximate value of 41 million U.S. dollars. This was an increase in value in comparison to the preceding year, when roughly 29 million U.S. dollars of the products were imported. Furthermore, China was one of the main trade partners of Mauritius in terms of knitted or crocheted apparel imports, with a share of nearly 29 percent.
